Devastating footage of executions and men lying beheaded in the street
illustrates the severity of the threat of the Islamic State. Militants
patrol the streets to ensure their religious standards are being upheld,
and citizens are encouraged to report any transgressors, even if they
are family members. One man is stopped and instructed to make his wife
change the fabric of her veil, and although the tone is polite it is
clear the requestor is telling, not asking. The influence of the
enforcers is evident - prisoners who have dared disobey the IS laws are
full of self-blame, accepting their punishments to be the will of Allah.
Disobedience will not be tolerated by man or God.

Inside the Garbage of the World
This documentary film poses the question: Are we making Holes in Heaven? HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) is a controversial high frequency radio transmitter, or "ionospheric heater," which is believed to be descended from the works of Nikola Tesla and is operated by the U.S. Navy/Air Force and Phillip Laboratories in remote Gakona, Alaska.
Using HAARP, the military can focus a billion-watt pulsed radio beam into our upper atmosphere, ostensibly for ionospheric research. This procedure will form extremely low frequency waves and send them back to the Earth, enhancing communications with submarines and allowing us to "see" into the Earth, detecting anything from oil reserves to underground missile silos.
However, several researchers claim HAARP poses many dangers, including blowing thirty-mile holes in the Earth's upper atmosphere.

Top diplomat Christopher R. Hill says that Russia’s response to the Ukraine crisis means that Moscow has betrayed the “new world order” it has been a part of for the last 25 years.
In a piece for the influential Project Syndicate publication, Hill, a former US ambassador to Iraq and Korea, writes that Russia’s annexation of Crimea and “intimidation” campaign against Kiev has brought an end to a 25-year historical period, accusing Moscow of engaging in “regression, recidivism, and revanchism”.
Hill’s definition of the “new world order” is Russia’s post-Glasnost involvement in “Western institutions, a market economy, and a multi-party parliamentary democracy.”

Top U.S. Diplomat: Russia Has Betrayed the “New World Order”
Drawing on a wealth of recent scholarship, it looks at slavery as an integral part of a developing nation, challenging the long held notion that slavery was exclusively a Southern enterprise.
At the same time, by focusing on the remarkable stories of individual slaves, it offers new perspectives on the slave experience and testifies to the active role that Africans and African Americans took in surviving their bondage and shaping their own lives.
1. The Downward Spiral. Episode one opens in the 1620s with the introduction of 11 men of African descent and mixed ethnicity into slavery in New Amsterdam. Working side by side with white indentured servants, these men labored to lay the foundations of the Dutch colony that would later become New York. There were no laws defining the limitations imposed on slaves at this point in time. Enslaved people, such as Anthony d'Angola, Emmanuel Driggus, and Frances Driggus could bring suits to court, earn wages, and marry.
Liberty in the Air. From the 1740s to the 1830s, the institution of slavery continued to support economic development. As the slave population reproduced, American planters became less dependent on the African slave trade. Ensuing generations of slaves developed a unique culture that blended elements of African and American life. Episode two follows the paths of several African Americans, including Thomas Jefferson's slave Jupiter, Colonel Tye, Elizabeth Freeman, David Walker, and Maria Stewart, as they respond to the increasingly restrictive system of slavery.
Seeds of Destruction. One by one the Northern states, led by Vermont in 1777, adopted laws to abolish and phase out slavery. Simultaneously, slavery in the Southern United States entered the period of its greatest expansion. Episode three, which starts at the beginning of the 1800s, examines slavery's increasing divisiveness in America as the nation develops westward and cotton replaces tobacco as the country's most valuable crop.
The Challenge of Freedom. Episode four looks at Civil War and Reconstruction through the experiences of South Carolina slave Robert Smalls. It chronicles Smalls' daring escape to freedom, his military service, and his tenure as a congressman after the war. As the events of Smalls' life unfold, the complexities of this period in American history are revealed. The episode shows the transformation of the war from a struggle for union to a battle over slavery.
Slavery and the Making of America
Since the year 2000, millions protested in over 100 countries around the world for reasons ranging from economy to 9/11 truth. In some cases peaceful protests even led to overthrowing of governments in power. To name some of the notable protests, in 2010 and 2011 over 600,000 protested in Greece against new austerity measures. The Greek people were unhappy with unemployment and the state of the economy and decided to take their displeasure to the streets.
In 2011 the occupy movement sprung up, bringing out hundreds of thousands from more than 95 countries raising awareness of the wealth inequality, political corruption, and corporate influence over government. Also in 2011 over six million marched in Spain due to political and financial unrest. This was a month long protest.
Continuing the trend in 2011 the Egyptians revolted against election fraud and other socioeconomic factors. Millions took to the streets and effectively overthrew their government. In 2013 the Egyptians were at it again, this time protesting over economic and security issues. They once again successfully overthrew their government to bring about change.

The Collective Evolution III: The Shift
In the early days of the protest the opposition parties were influential on the streets. But after weeks of stagnation protesters were getting tired of the continuing political stalemate. After trying to negotiate an extension of the cease-fire and constantly being shouted down Klitschko finally gave up trying to talk with the protesters and retreated from the barricades. After hours of intense clashes eventually things calmed down and uneasy standoff continued.
It felt like the protests had entered a more peaceful phase. However on the 18th of February violent clashes kicked off again outside Parliament which left 26 dead and hundreds injured, and the prospect of Independence Square being cleared for good became a worrying reality.

Yanukovych was in no mood to give up his power but Parliament voted to remove him and hold new elections. Yanukovych fled Kiev after protesters took control and Ukraine's provisional government issued a warrant for his arrest. Russian troops took over Crimea without firing a shot and since then the situation in Ukraine became an open and difficult international problem.

Renowned American academic Noam Chomsky says the United States would be recognized as a leading terrorist state if international law is applied. This documentary conducts an in-depth interview with Noam Chomsky in which the double standards of the Western states with regard to the issue of nuclear weapons are dealt with in detail.
"I took the official definitions of terrorism, which were very good, I took the definition that is given in US and British law, which is a fine definition but has a flaw; If you apply it, it turns out the United States is one of the leading terrorist states in the world."
The academic added that he had predicted the ongoing so-called war on terror by the US when Ronald Reagan was president in the 1980s.
He called into question the legality of the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, saying, "The US and Britain tried to provide a kind of a thin legal cover for the invasion. The legal cover was, as you know, that Saddam had not ended his programs of weapons of mass destruction."
USA: Top Terrorist State
The most dangerous threat to democracy in the United States of America is the mistaken belief that they actually practice one... because democracy is not a noun, it's a verb. "Demos" means "the people", and "kratia" means "rule", so the word democracy means "the people rule." We have the trappings of democracy... you just get to go and pull a lever every 2-4 years only for candidates that have been pre-approved and pre-selected by the ruling elite.
But when it comes to actually participating in a meaningful way in how the society is organized, how much pay you might get, whether or not you get healthcare, whether the country goes to war or not, whether we should address the climate crisis... in those kinds of questions the people never have an opportunity to participate.
For example, if in the debate around the healthcare had there not been elected officials with a commitment to pharmaceutical companies and insurance companies, if the priority wasn't making sure that there were profits for people that make drugs and sell drugs, and people who provide medical care as insurers, if they weren't the priority but the ordinary people don't you think that would've been different?
The prison system along with the education system and the healthcare system are three things among many others that should never have a profit motive attached. The democratic self-government experiment started in the United States over 200 years ago and has gotten completely corrupted. The real people are not been listen to.
When considering the still unfolding history of the United States the words of journalist Molly Ivins ring true: "It is possible to read the history of this country as one long struggle to extend the liberties established in our Constitution to everyone in America." In other words who, according to the laws and cultures, gets to be considered a person?
